Illegal Activites Advertise Freely

I listen to Howard Stern most mornings, and they play a radio commercial for Ashley Madison. That is a company and web site that has decided to stand out from every other dating site, by marketing to people who are already in committed relationships, but want something more - on the side. A site dedicated to cheating, otherwise known as Adultery.

How is this possible?

In the American states listed below, adultery is illegal. In the entire world, it's still one of the Christian ten commandments.

Not to long ago, it was the sole acceptable reason for divorce. Before that, death.

My real question is... why can't I advertise my robbery business, or sell drugs online, or market my hitman business.
